No muss, no fuss, here’s the news:
Episode 2. Tomorrow. Get around it.
So here’s the thing. I am eternally grateful for anyone who has watched our first episode, when it came out many moons ago. I so wanted to get the entire series out to the world in as little time as possible, share this entity that I’m so proud of with anyone who might be interested or entertained by it.
And then life got in the way.
It’s tough being an artist. Not a special kind of tough, everyone has a tough life these days, everyone is over-committed, stretched to their breaking point, rushed, harried and caught in the bustle of everyday life. Artists are… well, just the same as everyone else. And sometimes getting food on the table has to take over from doing what you really want to do.
The GM is a project of passion. If I had a choice, I would give up worldly responsibility to spend all of my working life on it (and other fantastical ideas that are bubbling below the surface of my brain), but that isn’t a luxury I (or anyone else involved) has been able to afford right now.
So time has ticked past.
Michelle and I run our own music tuition business and have a baby girl. Pyrate works as a freelance. Everyone else involved in this project has everyday jobs, university courses, lives outside of it. I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact that I can’t achieve everything I want to (and here’s the kicker) as quickly as I want to. Rotoscoping doesn’t magically happen (unfortunately), audio doesn’t sync first time, art isn’t always right on the first draft, locked cuts become unlocked… meanwhile, students demand my attention, websites need updating, freelance work steals hours from my day…
While we can’t give you the GM as quickly as we would like, nothing is going to stop us making it as good as we can make it.
Thank you for sticking with us. Thank you for every share, like and subscribe. These are what keep us going, knowing that people want to see what we have made.
We hope you enjoy Episode 2, and we promise, Episode 3 ain’t so far away.
